William Styron, one of the great modern writers of the US, has died. However, his books will live on. More importantly, his writings will continue to give pleasure to many people. He was one of the fine writers and storytellers whose books were read and re-read by many. He knew how to write.

Here is a list of his books just in case you are interested in reading them:

Lie Down in Darkness was written in 1951. Nine years later, he published The Confessions of Nat Turner which earned him a Pulitzer Prize. His next book came in 1979. Sophie's Choice drew a lot of fire for examing the Holocaust from the point of view of a Polish Catholic. In 1990, he released Darkness Visible: A Memoir of Darkness.
