After buying a California mansion, Oprah spent beaucoup money renovating it. She hired the best landscape designers that money could facilitate. They designed a bridge for her. Then, with her best friend Gayle, the editor of O, she set out to have a houseful of divas, artists and young women to a grand ball. It was Oprah's style of doing things. None of the guests knew who was coming. Everything was planned. It was truly made for TV. When shown on ABC, the public had a peak at what type of show Oprah put on for her guests. It was one of the best shows that we have ever seen. From the seating to the type of foods served and gifts given, everything was top-notch. Oprah gave diamond presents to her guests.
